After Surgery

After you have been discharged, it is important to follow any specific postoperative instruction your doctor gives you regarding diet, rest, activities and medication. The surgery center will provide you with a written summary of these instructions. In addition, a member of our staff will call you after surgery to see how you are doing.

It is not unusual to feel a little sleepy, light headed, or dizzy for several hours after your operation. Do not sign any important papers or make significant decisions for at least 24 hours.

If you have any questions or problems after surgery, please contact your doctor.

Do not drive a car, smoke, drink alcoholic beverages, operate machinery, or cook for 24 hours after surgery.

Please return to your surgeon’s office for all postoperative visits.
